What have Ultimate Kids been up to this term?
So, where do I start? We kicked the year off with a bang… and what I mean by that is a bang from the water pipe which is situated in the ceiling of our office as it popped and leaked through onto everyone’s desks! Although a nightmare for us all, we definitely didn’t mind spending our days in Aintree Starbucks with coffee and cakes on tap.
Besides this unforeseen inconvenience, we have since implemented a handful of new operation systems within our ever growing business to help support staff and clients more efficiently and effectively; We have been approved for Sefton’s Easter HAF funding to provide free spaces on our Ultimate Kids Camps for families in receipt of free school meals; We have upgraded equipment, storage and workspaces in our office; We delivered 11 free Ultimate Kids school & nurseries days across Sefton; Oh and can’t forget about a very successful half term Ultimate Kids Camp at Rimrose Hope Primary School & Formby High School which leads me to the next BIG problem we had to overcome…
9 days before our beloved Ultimate Kids Camp at Range High, I received a phone call telling me that we could no longer have our facility booking which we had confirmed back in September 2022 for the upcoming February camp. There was no negotiating, just a big fat no. With that confirmed, it was all hands on deck to secure a new, more reliable and better venue for the parents of Formby to attend our Ultimate Kids Camp in less than 10 days! Skip the endless phone calls, emails and venue viewing and 3 days later we had secured multiple bookings at Formby High School for the rest of the academic year. For the remainder of the term we have been planning and preparing some amazing Ultimate Kids Camps across six different sites this Easter break.
To top it all off, on March 31st (today) all of our staff will be participating in a staff wellbeing day which consists of yoga, brunch, massage, go karting, evening meal and drinks… I’m sure Emily will be posting lots of updates on this day so don’t forget to check our social media pages out.
