Welcome Ray: Operations Manager
Welcoming Our New Team Member: Ray
We’re excited to introduce Ray, our newest member of the team here at Ultimate Kids. From managing operations, to leading camps, Ray brings a strong passion for sport, coaching, and helping young people build confidence through physical activity. We’re over the moon to have Ray on board with us and if you see him in your school or on a camp, make sure to say hello!
A Strong Background in Sports Coaching
Ray has extensive experience delivering PE and multi-sport sessions across both primary and secondary schools. He has worked with a wide range of age groups and abilities, always focusing on creating sessions that are engaging, structured, and enjoyable.
His sporting background is particularly strong in athletics, including track events as well as field disciplines such as long jump, triple jump, high jump, and throwing activities. This gives him a broad skill set to draw from when planning varied and exciting sessions for children.
Ray is also highly experienced in planning and delivering sessions that balance skill development with fun. He understands the importance of keeping children active, motivated, and involved, while also supporting their long-term physical development. We can’t wait to explore this further with him.
He is also continuing to grow his knowledge by currently studying a Level 4 Sports Coaching Apprenticeship, continuing to develop his knowledge and skills alongside his hands-on coaching experience.
Coaching Style and Strengths
From being able to observe Ray’s coaching style over the past few weeks he’s been with Ultimate Kids, it is clear to see how it’s centred around inclusivity, enjoyment, and confidence-building. He is passionate about making sure every child feels involved, regardless of ability or experience.
He also has valuable experience working within structured coaching environments, ensuring his delivery aligns with both curriculum expectations and organisational goals. Alongside this, Ray has previously developed leadership and management skills within sports coaching settings, demonstrating his ability to take responsibility and support wider team objectives.
Looking to the Future
We’re so excited have Ray part of the team and to see how he grows within Ultimate Kids. His future goals include:
Continuing to develop his coaching knowledge through training and experience
Inspiring more children to lead active and healthy lifestyles
Taking on increased responsibility within the organisation
Progressing further into leadership roles within sports coaching
We’re thrilled to have Ray on board and look forward to seeing the positive impact he will continue to make across our sessions and school programmes.
Welcome to the team, Ray!
