Welcome Fergal!

Welcome Fergal, our newest member of the Ultimate Kids Family.

This September has welcomed many new beginnings. Our brand new office extension, some brand new school and nursery partners and last but not least, our latest full time member of staff, Fergal Murphy!

We are so excited and proud to have brought on another full time member of staff and watch our team grow further and further. Fergal has come on board as our Sports Development and Recruitment Officer, where he will be working closely with Lucy and Liam to develop our school partnerships, camps and recruitment strategies. He will also be coaching in some of our local schools, so keep an eye out for him in your PE lessons or clubs and make sure you give him a big hello!

We thought that this would be the perfect time to introduce him and tell you all a little bit about his professional and educational background which we were extremely impressed with when we first met. Fergal has eight years of coaching experience, so the coaching side of things is pretty much second nature to him. Within these 8 years, he has provided UK Curriculum Physical Education to primary schools and led many multi-sports holiday camps. This dual role honed his skills in working with children and developing leadership qualities, allowing him to inspire the next generation of athletes.

He has worked as an experienced coach in a handful of different clubs such as, Tiber Football Centre, Liverpool Wolfe Tones GAA and Granby Toxteth Athletic. Through this experience he’s been able to build on fostering personal growth and mentoring junior coaches to build leadership skills.

Volunteering has also played a crucial role in Fergal’s career. In 2023, as Senior Ladies Football Coach for Liverpool Wolfe Tones GAA, he led the team to win the Ladies Football Pennine League Division 2. His time as the Men’s Football Head Coach at Liverpool John Moore’s University Gaelic Football Club saw him guide the team to two championships: the All-Ireland Corn Na Mac Leinn and the All-Britain University Gaelic Football Championship.

His academic background includes a First Class Honours degree in Sports Coaching from Liverpool John Moores University, where he was involved with the Men’s Gaelic Football Club, and a Higher National Diploma in Sports and Exercise Science from The City of Liverpool College. This academic journey has been pivotal in shaping his coaching career, providing him with both the theoretical knowledge and practical skills necessary to create impactful sessions.

We are all so excited to have Fergal on board with us and can’t wait to watch him progress in Ultimate Kids throughout this academic year and beyond.

If you have any questions for Fergal or would like to invite him to deliver a FREE sports demonstration in your school, please do not hesitate to get in touch and we can provide you with the straightforward steps of arranging a demo. Email customercare@ultimatekidsltd.co.uk – Thank you.

Take care everyone and we’ll see you soon,

Ultimate Kids Team 🙂
