Hello everyone,
As some of you may be aware, along side our Ultimate Kids Camps in the school holidays, we also run our HAF Camps (Holiday Activities and Food Programme’s) which provide engaging and friendly games in a safe and secure environment for those on pupil premium or are eligible for free school meals. Currently our HAF Camps are located in Seaforth (Rimrose Hope Primary School), Formby (Range High School) and Waterloo (Waterloo Primary School), however, we are currently working very closely with Sefton Council to provide even more of our HAF camps in a variety of accessible locations.
During the week of our HAF camps, Ultimate Kids provide the children with lunch and snacks from Monday – Friday. Each day we plan and prepare a healthy eating workshop where the children will be educated on not only how to prepare that days specific meal, but also the nutritional value it contains and the health benefits of the lunch they will be creating and consuming. Including the children in the food workshop activities is not only great fun for everyone, but also will teach them techniques and skills that they can carry on using outside of camp to prepare and enjoy their own healthy, easy meals at home. We absolutely love planning and delivering these workshops on our HAF camps and it’s safe to say the children enjoy getting involved at lunch time too!
In order to make our HAF camps bigger, better and more substantial for both the children and their families, Ultimate Kids are kindly asking that if possible, we would love anyone in the local community for some generous support or donations, no matter how big or how small. Our team are all committed to creating healthy holidays for young children in the Sefton area by creating opportunities to engage in healthy eating habits and increased physical activity levels during the school holidays.
