Happy New Year & Welcome to 2023
Happy New Year everyone and welcome to the year 2023!
I want to start this blog by saying a massive thank you to everyone who has supported us in 2022 and the years before. It is because of you, that we have been able to grow and provide more for the communities, schools, nurseries and councils we work with; so THANK YOU!
The year has been full of ups, downs, progression and setbacks; as does any organisation but I am proud to say that our team here at Ultimate Kids has worked harder than ever to ensure we are in the best position we have ever been in, in order to continue to grow and provide even more for our local communities.
Here are some of our highlights from 2022…
Office
The first part of our Ultimate Kids HQ is finally finished. No detail has been left out in the reconstruction of the facility and all that is left to do over the next couple of months is to make the internal layout exactly how we want it to be. Our headquarters is a place where the magic happens, every idea, every session, every memory starts and is brought to fruition here. We have a long way to go in creating the Ultimate HQ that we desire, although, with consistency and continued support from our communities we will soon be there for you all to enjoy.
Growing to a team of 5
It’s been a roller coaster ride since Ultimate Kids began but, since September 2022 we have now grown to a strong core team of five highly skilled individuals. With this said, it has allowed us to restructure our organisation in order to be more productive and continue to expand our community reach. I would like to especially give a warm welcome to the two newest members of our team; Kieran Roose (Head of Camp Operations) and Robert Gibson (Head of Class Operations). Be sure to get in touch if you have any questions about the services that they oversee.
Grew Ultimate Kids Camps
Our Ultimate Kids Camps are continuously growing, however, in 2022 we expanded to Warrington for the Summer months. To add to this, we also partnered with Sefton Council HAF team to offer more free Ultimate Kids Camp spaces across Seaforth (L21) and Waterloo (L22) whilst agreeing plans to reach out into Formby (L37), Maghull (L31) and Aintree (L10) come April 2023.
We have had a total of 1,437 new children attend our Ultimate Kids Camps in 2022. This was across 19 camps. With our team, brand and services expanding in 2023 we aim to double this figure by January 2024.
Camping trip
I have to be honest with you, this was my personal highlight of the year here at Ultimate Kids. After a long Summer of Ultimate Kids Camps, we decided to go on a team camping trip to the Lake District and spend some quality time in nature, eating BBQ, laughing, climbing and genuinely getting to know each other on a personal level. Since then, we have worked together on a completely new level, making it more productive and an identifiably stronger ethos within the work environment.
I believe that this trip has encouraged some friendships for life.
New website
Where do I start? We have been messed around by multiple bigger website companies and spent ££££’s to try and provide a quality experience for everyone who lands on our page. We want to showcase everything that is going on at Ultimate Kids and also provide a more efficient and easy going booking experience. After 8 months of frustration and disappointment we were recommended a freelance designer by a trusted friend of Ultimate Kids whom we worked with and still work with developing our latest website. Let us know what you think about it. P.S There’s still more to come!
I would also like to identify some of the areas we have been working in to try and provide clarity to the hard work everyone has put in this year. Take a look below to see if we have been local to you:
Crosby (L23), Formby (L37), Seaforth (L21), Waterloo (L22), Litherland (L21), Bootle
(L20), Kirkdale (L4), Liverpool City Centre (L1), Ainsdale (PR8), Southport, Fazakerley (L9), Greenbank (L18), Warrington (WA4), St Helens (WA10), Widnes (WA8), Toxteth (L8), West Kirkby (CH48), Wallasey (CH27), West Derby (L12), Croxteth (L11), Great Sankey (WA5), Aintree (L10).
Although it is important to reflect and enjoy the highlights of the previous year(s), it is our priority to look forward and continue to progress and increase our skillset and standards as a team. With that said, here’s some exciting things we have planned for you all in 2023…
Weekly YouTube Videos
With having a small slice of success on YouTube for my old business, Focuz-Fit, we have decided to create our very own Ultimate Kids channel with weekly uploads pending. Our channel consists of multiple series including our Ultimate Kids Podcast, Coaching challenges, How to videos and a few other gems that we can’t wait to share with you.
Monthly Podcast
We understand that in this day and age Podcasts are very popular, enjoyable and many are also educational. Therefore, Ultimate Kids have decided to start their very own Podcast. We are aiming to release one Podcast each month in 2023 with a goal to increase this sooner.
School Rock Climbing Sessions
As myself and a few other members of the Ultimate Kids Team regularly attend The Climbing Hangar (Sandhills) we have decided to partner with them this year to offer even more services for the school and parents that we work with. The whole team attended an internal training course at The Climbing Hangar to allow us to deliver climbing sessions to the children that we teach. If you would like to know more about it, please get in touch or alternatively; if you think that your school would love to get involved with this, please get them to get in touch with us.
Ultimate Kids Classes
Our Ultimate Kids Classes are longgggg overdue and have been missed over the last few years. BUT, don’t worry we have you covered with our new class timetable at Merchant Taylors School in Crosby (L23). I could talk to you all day about these, but it may just be easier for you to this link to our classes pages and check it out for yourself: www.ultimatekidsltd.co.uk/classes
Ultimate Kids Tournaments
I can’t give you too much information on these just yet but our Ultimate Kids Tournaments are a great way for Schools to enter even more children into competition in a fun and enjoyable way. Keep an eye out for more on this subject as we will be sure to spread the success stories of all involved.
To conclude my blog, I would like to express my gratitude and excitement to everyone involved in the Ultimate Kids community and for the year ahead. Please make sure to keep in touch over the next 12 months and let us know what you want to see us get up to.
We’ll see you all soon for another great year, good luck and we’re here to help.
