What the Ultimate Kids Team Have Been Up To This Week: 20/05/2022
Hi everyone, with the end of another school year approaching quickly we thought now would be a good time to share some more info about ourselves and what goes on during term time.
This week has been a perfect example of showcasing a number of the services we offer as we’ve been super busy in schools and nurseries Monday – Friday… so take a look at what’s been going on.
First of all, our coaches have had a great week carrying out our Ultimate Kids primary school after school clubs each day in local schools to ourselves, such as Waterloo, Moorfields and St Johns (Dodgeball being one of our favourites this week). Alongside this, we’ve carried out PE sessions in a number of schools for a variety of different years from reception to year 6 – taking part in sessions to keep them active during school time. Another school we’ve been extremely busy with this week is Rimrose Hope Primary School, where we’ve worked closely with one to one support, lunch time clubs, Play Leaders Program, as well as PE sessions.
As you may know, we also work closely with early years and provide nurseries sessions where our coaches have been going in and carrying out engaging sporting activities to support and develop fundamental movements in early years children. This week we’ve loved going into Kids Planet Fazackerley, Ainsdale and Greenbank as well as the wonderful First Steps Nursery to deliver our sessions.
As well as our usual weekly sessions, our coaches have been especially busy this week with taster sessions in Little Kings and Queens Nursery (Bootle), as well as Spring Park Nursery (Croxteth) – if your school or nursery is interested in a free taster session just get in touch! Coaches Chris, Liam and Faye got the children to imitate some of their favourite animals and how they move such as ‘monkey walks’ & ‘leap frogging’. Animal movements are a fun way to challenge the children physically as each movement engages a different part of the body.
Finally, at the end of the week (Friday) Coach Liam took St Johns Primary School Y5 to an exciting cricket tournament, which teachers, coaches and pupils have been looking forward to and preparing for for weeks! We wish St Johns all the best in their tournament and we will be posting updates of how they got on, we hope you’re enjoying yourselves guys!
On the coaching front, that pretty much rounds up the week we’ve had here at Ultimate Kids; sessions, tasters, tournaments and so much more! We’ve had a great week and hope you guys have as well. See you all again next week for just as much fun!
